Resident Acro/Tumbling Coach

Jay Dabrowski

In coming of age, Jay has been in perpetual motion. Since starting gymnastics at such a young age, it quickly became his specialty. Being an all year round sport, there was no excuse rain or snow; the gym was always open and he made time for it and always pushed his limits. Jay found passion in being able to test new abilities, strengths, and contortions. Jay explored his success in other sports like soccer, but gymnastics would always have his heart, which led him to begin coaching. In college, Jay was able to gain new skills and was given the opportunity to perform in the Springfield College Home Show, which is a theatrical show performed by the College’s gymnastics team. His college education is in Human Movement, Exercise Science, Nutrition and Physical Education. In conjunction with his gymnastics experience, this is what gives Coach Jay such a competitive edge as a coach. He visuals each gymnastics or acrobatic skill anatomically and is able to create innovative ways to condition his students to help maximize their progress. He never knew his path would lead him to the dance industry, but it has afforded him the opportunity to explore his teaching methods and become a truly exceptional coach.
